| LearnLive Version 6 Release – February 1st, 2008 |
LearnLive Technologies is excited to announce the upcoming release of our version 6 platform, with a targeted release date of February 1st, 2008. This release is packed with a wide range of new features, upgrades and optimizations to make it our most secure, robust and advanced system to date. Some of the more notable features are detailed below – for a full list of upgrades, please check out our official Version 6 Release Notes.
One of the most touted new features of our Version 6 release is the ability to quickly create a self-study course from existing content in LearnLive Capture. Capture, our easy-to-use and widely popular course authoring environment, already gave users a powerful yet simple recording interface to record video for quick generation into a self-study course. Now, with this latest upgrade, we have added accessibility for any previously recorded media you have on file. Video archives, teleconference recordings, taped classrooms – virtually any type of media you have on hand can be easily uploaded into LearnLive Capture. You can generate a synchronized course, complete with slide presentation, audio and video, handouts and any other customizations within minutes. Of course, all generated courses can be used in conjunction with the rest of the LearnLive system, including full online availability, our state-of-the-art participation tracking system, and all of our integrated reporting tools.
LearnLive Technologies’ student-facing University have also undergone a number of important upgrades in this upcoming release. Now, by using a simple and familiar admin wizard, you can customize a host of additional display options within your University. From colors and fonts to complex background images and animated logos, you can take full control over your student-facing website, giving it the look and feel of your choosing. A number of new features also adorn the revised University, including a powerful student-facing content search engine. This feature boasts a simple, streamlined user interface that allows your professionals to search or browse any and all existing content in their catalog, from general program descriptions to embedded section titles and tags. Simply input a key phrase and you will receive a detailed list of instances where the phrase appears within any available course. From there, you can directly link to the section of the course that contains the information you requested. The days of fast-forwarding through an entire course to extract a few minutes of necessary information are over – with a few simple clicks, you can access any segment of any course, and begin learning right away. This system will revolutionize the way that your professionals learn and reference archived material.

| "This Week in Accounting" Webcasts Coming Feb. 13th |
LearnLive Technologies is pleased to announce a new program addition to our popular Society Insight catalog! Starting on February 13th, every Wednesday you'll be able to participate in the popular webcast series "This Week in Accounting" through the Society InSight Virtual Classroom. The weekly webcasts are presented by award-winning accounting expert and educator Bruce Pounder. We asked Bruce to explain "This Week in Accounting" and why it's a great way for you to earn CPE credit. Here's what he says:
"This Week in Accounting" is a series of one-hour CPE webcasts for CPAs and other accounting professionals, including those in public practice as well as those in business and industry. I created the series specifically to cover technical developments in the accounting profession as they happen. From week to week, we discuss the latest changes in U.S. GAAP, accounting scandals, and breaking news about the profession's "movers and shakers."
Why should you consider participating in "This Week in Accounting"? Here are three reasons:
- First, you'll never be bored with "This Week in Accounting." The content of the webcasts is completely different each week, and I focus exclusively on new developments that have the most relevance to the broadest range of accountants.
- Second, the scheduling of "This Week in Accounting" webcasts makes it possible for you to earn CPE credit a little bit at a time throughout the year instead of having to cram several days' worth of CPE into the last month of your reporting period. One-hour webcasts are held on the same day each week at the same time, year-round, so you can easily plan ahead to be sure of meeting your CPE requirements.
- Third, "This Week in Accounting" gives you the flexibility to choose when you want to participate and when you don't. You can participate in as many or as few sessions as you like. None of the sessions have prerequisites or require you to do any advance preparation. You can start with any session and you won't feel lost. And you won't be at a disadvantage if you skip sessions. Just join in whenever it's convenient for you, whether that's once a week, once a month, or once a year. Of course, you'll get more benefit from participating regularly, but it's not a problem if you don't.
The Bottom Line: "This Week in Accounting" gives you the opportunity to earn up to 52 hours of group-study CPE credit in Accounting throughout each year while staying on top of developments that affect your job and your career. We invite you to join Bruce in an upcoming webcast so you'll experience for yourself the many reasons why accountants across the country consider "This Week in Accounting" to be the best way to get their CPE.To register for these events click here. Each Webcast will be titled "This Week in Accounting" with the date following.
